About Rick Serna
Lead Vocals and Guitar
Rick
Serna started playing music on pots and pans on his mom's linoleum floor in San
Francisco long before he could even walk. He played congas and bongos with
cubans and africans at hippie hill in Golden Gate Park at the age of 10 and
played his first show as a drummer at the age of 12. He has only been singing
and playing guitar for about 20 years.
Now he plays guitar and sings lead for Stone Cold Soul. He tries to bring some soul to rock and blues that Stone Cold Soul plays. He also writes much of the original material that the band plays.
Rick also loves being in the ocean and swimming with sea turtles, manta rays and dolphins .
His Anderson guitar was custom made by Tom Anderson in Los Angeles. It was the first guitar Tom made after 9/11 and Rick tries to use it to promote peace as per Tom's wishes.
Rick is also a lifelong motorcyclist and is active in the bustling SF bike scene.
